Background
Twenty-five years in IT — system administration, then DevOps from 2010, then cloud and infrastructure automation from 2017. Long enough to have migrated organisations off things that were once the obvious choice.
That has been in finance, energy, media, oil and gas, cyber-intelligence, publishing, insurance, vehicle leasing and consumer technology — trading floors with regulatory build requirements, enterprises standing up cloud governance for dozens of teams, and small businesses whose entire web presence had quietly stopped working.
Currently running the cloud platform for a consumer app with more than four million active users.
