What’s useful to include

Four answers let me say something concrete straight away, instead of opening with a round of questions:

1. What you’re running on now — cloud, on-premise, a mix, or nobody’s entirely sure.
2. What’s actually hurting — releases that take too long, a bill that stopped making sense, a migration nobody wants to start, infrastructure only one person understands.
3. Who looks after it today — an internal team, one overloaded person, an agency, or no one since the last person left.
4. What’s driving the timing — an audit, a contract ending, a growth plan, a migration deadline, or simply that it has become painful enough to deal with.

Rough answers are fine. “I don’t know” is a useful answer too — often it’s the problem.
